Call for papers for the international conference “Toots Thielemans (1922-2016). A Century of Music across Europe and America”

2022 will be the Toots Year. An international academic conference will be organised at KBR-Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels from 9 to 11 May 2022. This unique conference, the first of its kind worldwide, is a fantastic opportunity to learn and to exchange ideas, analysis, documents and experiences about this great artist and, more broadly, about certain historical or music-artistic aspects of Belgian jazz and popular music.

If you want to submit a proposal for a paper, please follow the procedure described in the link above. The conference is open to all interested academics, musicians and other stakeholders related to Toots. The deadline for proposal subsmission is 15th November 2021.
